WEA's 14th General Assembly in South Korea

The World Evangelical Alliance (WEA) held its 14th General Assembly on October 27-30, at Sarang Church in Seoul, South Korea, bringing together around 850 participants from 124 nations under the theme "The Gospel for Everyone by 2033." The conference released the Seoul Declaration, which reasserts biblical authority and addresses pluralism and same-sex marriage, elected the new International Council, and installed the new secretary and CEO, Rev. Botrus Mansour of Nazareth, Israel.

WCC's Sixth World Conference on Faith and Order

Organized by the World Council of Churches (WCC), the Sixth World Conference on Faith and Order brought nearly 500 participants from 100 countries under the theme "Where Now for Visible Unity?" in Egypt, marking the 1,700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea (325 AD). Held from October 24 to 28, the conference consisted of thematic plenaries, different sections and workshops, a pilgrimage to Coptic monasteries, a Sunday confession worship, daily morning and evening prayer services, etc. A final document "Deepening Unity, Journeying in Love, Restoring Hope: Ecumenical Affirmation" was released, calling all Christians to renew commitment to faith, mission, and unity.

Celebrating Easter 2025

Easter, one of the most important holidays for Christians, was largely celebrated across churches nationwide this year. Starting from Lent, more and more churches offered daily devotionals for their congregations, and many Christians were devoted to fasting and praying. From daily special services, foot-washing services, and candlelight vigils to dramatic performances and Easter Sunday celebrations, believers walked through Christ’s passion and resurrection with reverence and joy.
